 Eco-friendly "Umbrella Wiper"

< Original Problem ＆Idea / Solution >

    In many store and also in Kwansei Gakuin University, many people use plastic umbrella cover, I thought it's not eco-friendly and it can tear easily. If we buy a Umbrella Drip Remover + water absorption pad, it costs about 116,000 yen.

    My invention which I've named "Umbrella Wiper" made by very cheap materials and it's eco-friendly!

< Sepcifics >

  • Purchase a umbrella stand about 3,000 yen & water absorption pad about 6,600 yen .
height about 100 cm
height about 80 cm
  • Purchase a velcro (Japanese call it "magic tape") costs 900 yen.
  • Put the water absorption pad into the umbrella stand and put together by using velcro.
    Total price : 9,600 yen + 900 yen = 10,500 yen
    Total saving : You can save 105,500 yen!!

< How to use >

    1. Insert a wet umbrella. 
    2. Spin the umbrella 3-4 times, it gets dry!

< Summary >

    When you use an unbrella on a rainy day, do you put your umbrella in a plastic cover? Have you ever thought that it is bad for the environment? Accroding to lessplasticlife, we have been wasting about 1,9 billion plastic cover per year. However, if we use "Umbrella Wiper", we don't have to waste plastic covers and stay eco-friendly!!!

 University Student's Lunch Habit Survey Analysis My research topic : University student's Lunch Habit Target : Kwansei gakuin University students (Sanda campus) Number of respondents : (Male: 6 + F emale: 2 = 8) < Summary >  Students answered 11 questions about university student's lunch habit. < Results > Graph #1 shows that students eat lunch at several places. In fact, 37.5% responded " classroom ", as same percentage responded " cafeteria " 25% responded " outside ". These is no student eating lunch at academic commons. #1 Graph#2 shows that most students like to eat lunch with their friends . On the other hand, one student like to eat with thier girlfriend or boyfriend at outside . I infer that outside is a better place to feel free that lead students to eat with lover. #2 Graph #3 shows that half of the them usually eat convenience store food .
